Time entries are used to file for time spent on various activities. While filing for time entry, you need to record the time spent on an activity. It takes the hourly rate defined for you from Contact or Matter, depending on the case, so you need not worry about what rate has been agreed while filing for time entries. You have an option to specify a different rate also while filing and that takes precedence over all other rates. Once an entry is filed, and if any changes are made to hourly rate groups, it does not impact the existing time entries. If you wish to make changes in existing time entries, it needs to be done manually. There is an option of making a time entry billable. If you do not mark an entry billable, it will not show in outstanding items during invoice for a contact. This is a great way to track time spent by you and your team members on various tasks and get deeper insights and controls to your business.
